Tatyana’s story: A Journey of a Medical Pioneer
“I was driven by a desire to research the historical roots of conventional medicine and to also learn its original healing traditions. My aspiration was to realign contemporary techno-pharmacological medical doctrine with its alternative healing origins, and then integrate them with the achievements of Quantum Physics, Systems Theory, Psychosomatics and Epigenetics… I wanted to rediscover the Art of Medicine, since education on healing was not offered in any Medical school or university. Even from the beginning of my career as a physician, it was obvious that this kind of medical experience is not attainable neither via conventional medical education – nor by conventional medical practice or experience…”
Born March 9th 1961 in Podgorica, Montenegro as Tatjana (Velimira) Bošković – Dr Tatyana Bosh graduated in 1985 from the Medical University in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Hercegovina. She co-founded and practises a new form of integrative medicine, nowadays already known worldwide as Bioregulatory Medicine.
Dr Bosh formulated Bioregulatory Medicine in London during the period between 1994 and 2020, in co-operation with Dr Damir Shakambet – devoting over 25 years of her pioneering work to refine the bioregulatory medical approach in theory and in clinical practice. Being an internationally recognized speaker, Dr Bosh runs courses and seminars on Bioregulatory Medicine for medical practitioners and alternative therapists all over the world.
In 1994 Dr Bosh co-established with Dr Shakambet a bioregulatory clinic at the Biomedic Centre in central London, and co-founded the Biomedic Foundation – a registered medical charity (No 1052731) for research and education in Bioregulatory Medicine. The foundation soon incorporated national and international academies and societies for Bioregulatory Medicine, as well as the International Society for Bioregulatory Medicine.
In 2000 Dr Bosh was awarded the Millennium Award for treatment of Post-Traumatic-Stress-Disorder (PTSD) with her authentic method known as Bioregulatory Psychosomatic Bodywork, for which she was granted a lifetime Millennium Awards Fellowship.
Tatyana’s pioneering contribution towards theoretical and practical development of the Bioregulatory medical paradigm resulted in the establishment of a scientifically sound, therapeutically efficient and financially viable new Health System or Bioregulatory Health System, also co-founded by Dr Bosh and Dr Shakambet. They have created this medical system with the objectives to strengthen individual health, develop one’s unused health potential and cure diseases by recuperating the affected aspects of health. The Bioregulatory Health System synergistically integrates ancient, contemporary, conventional and alternative medical methodologies, delivering both preventive and regenerative Bioregulatory healthcare. The main therapeutic focus of bioregulation is psychosomatic realignment and harmonisation of the affected self-regulatory mechanisms.
Dr Bosh’s highest professional aspiration is to help establish Bioregulatory Medicine in Medical universities, as an official specialisation course – where she firmly believes genuine health care has always belonged. She also considers Bioregulatory medicine as the best approach for the integration of conventional and alternative medicines, as well as the most promising way for the development of Integrative Medicine in the 21st century.
Dr Bosh was practising and teaching Bioregulatory Medicine in London’s Biomedic Centre until the summer of 2020, holding positions of Director of the Biomedic Centre, Director of Clinical Studies for the British Academy for Bioregulatory Medicine and the President of the International Society for Bioregulatory Medicine. She is a member of the Royal Society for Public Health, an Honorary Member of Colegio Medico of La Paz, Bolivia; and an Honorary Fellow of the International Society for Bioregulatory Medicine.
After her amicable divorce from Dr D Shakambet and their consequent professional separation in 2020, and due to a coinciding covid crisis – Dr Bosh has temporarily moved to Sutomore, Montenegro. From there, she currently provides online bioregulatory consultations and lectures as the Biomedic Doctor; while practising from the Hale Clinic at Harley Street, when in the UK. Meanwhile, Tatyana voluntarily contributes toward a more humanitarian, ecological and sustainable development in Sutomore, Montenegro, as the President of a non-for-profit NGO Ecobiom Montenegro.
As a young physician practising general medicine, Dr Bosh enrolled in the postgraduate study of pharmacology – which paradoxically precipitated her enthusiasm to explore natural and drug-free therapeutic approaches. She then graduated in Acupuncture in1987, becoming the first acupuncturist in Sarajevo, and soon after moved to London to continue research and studies of alternative and complementary therapies. Tatyana was driven by a desire to explore the historical roots of conventional medicine and to also learn its original healing traditions. Her aspiration was to realign contemporary techno-pharmacological medical doctrine with its alternative healing origins, and then to integrate them with the achievements of Quantum Physics, Systems Theory, Psychosomatics and Epigenetics, stating:
‘’…I wanted to re-discover the Art of Medicine since education on healing was not offered at any Medical school or University. Even from the beginning of my career as a physician, it was obvious that this kind of medical experience was not attainable neither via conventional medical education nor by conventional medical practice or experience… A huge medical injustice and sin against humankind were done in the name of techno-pharmacological medical doctrine. The knowledge of the biggest medical geniuses of all ages was systematically removed from official medical curricula worldwide. The achievements and teachings of true medical pioneers, such as Dr R. Steiner, Dr W. Reich, Dr E. Bach, Dr W. H. Bates, Dr R. R. Rife and Dr M. Gerson, to mention but a few – are almost completely erased from medical history. They were punished because they dared to conduct unbiased scientific research on unknown and forbidden territories. Those and many other physicians and scientists were bravely fighting the medical dogmas of their time – armed with the truth, unbiased science, medical ethics and their personal integrity. Although many sacrificed their lives or professional reputation in this fight against ‘professional brainwashing’ and the degradation of medical science and profession – the majority of modern physicians have never even heard of those medical heroes, nor had a chance to learn about their ingenious medical achievements. Luckily, the books and legacies they left behind speak volumes and continue to shine, pointing to the best path for the medicine of our future. Living spirits of those true medical geniuses keep on reminding us to nurture essential medical values, calling for: professional devotion, non-indoctrinated scientific knowledge, medical ethics, common sense, traditional medical wisdom that stood the ‘test of time’ and unconditional compassion… Their achievements will always take a breath away and inspire each person who dares to challenge the restraints and limitations imposed by any corrupted medical system… I was yearning to collect and deliver this hidden and no longer easily attainable medical inheritance to contemporary physicians. I have no doubt that modern medical doctors will then know how to cure conventional medicine, strengthen its foundation and re-introduce its legitimate and noble essence. I also have no doubt that they would do so eagerly and enthusiastically, in the name of their personal and professional integrity; in the name of the Hippocratic Oath and medical ethics; in the name of truth and health; in the name of compassion and non-biased science– in the name of humanity and for humanity. ‘’
After establishing her private clinic in central London, Dr Bosh included in her conventional practice a variety of other complementary and alternative medical disciplines (CAM), including Acupuncture, Herbology, Nutrition, Homoeopathy, Antihomotoxic therapy, Psychotherapy, Bioresonance, Kinesiology, Iridology, Colour therapy and a variety of Bodywork techniques. She then integrated them with her conventional medical knowledge from the perspective of contemporary quantum sciences. It all resulted in the development of a uniquely holistic meta-system or Bioregulatory Health System – and Bioregulatory Medicine as its medical doctrine. Since then Dr Bosh has devoted her professional life to practising and teaching this health-centred medical paradigm.
From the very beginning of Dr Bosh’s medical research, the main focus of her professional interest was in psychosomatic bioregulation – both from curative and preventative therapeutic perspectives. Driven by her research of the illness-formative process known as the psychosomatisation or psychosomatic process, and her desire to find a way how to reverse it back to health – Dr Bosh defined a condition of ‘latent disease’, which she refers to as Presomatic Syndrome. The most important starting point for understanding the psychosomatic process is in Dr Bosh’s opinion – a realisation that Presomatic Syndrome is essentially a precursor and a specific predisposition unique to each disease or pathological development that follows. Consequently, and in order to define its correlated therapeutic strategy, Dr Bosh created an authentic methodology, referring to it as the Bioregulatory Psychosomatic Bodywork (BPSB).
This holistic method is a functionally synergistic synthesis of different bodywork techniques (based mainly on Physiotherapy, Osteopathy, Lymphatic Drainage Massage, Rolfing, Shiatsu, Bioresonance, Kinesiology, Iridology, Bioenergetics, Cranio-sacral therapy and Alexander Technique) with post – Jungian and neo-Reichian psychotherapies, acupuncture, homoeopathy, nutri-diet-supplemental therapeutic disciplines and detoxifying therapeutic strategies.
Strengthening weakened health resources is in Dr Bosh’s opinion the very mechanism that activates the natural phenomenon known as ‘spontaneous remission (‘Restitutio ad Integrum’). By putting the medical focus on harmonising patients’ self-regulatory mechanisms, those remissions would no longer remain only a rare, natural phenomenon – but also a predictable and widely spread medically induction remissions. In essence, Dr Bosh is pointing to the necessity of unifying medical sciences with the art of medicine, stating:
” …This kind of quantum leap in medicine would call for a radical restructuring of the National Health System (NHS). Only then will the NHS deserve truly its name. A gigantic change of the NHS is necessary to incorporate Preventative and Regenerative Health Care, specific to each disease . Yet, it would consequently and inevitably ensure the faster and cheaper expansion of health through all strata of society, as well as an exponential growth of both individual and collective consciousness. This would in turn deliver prosperity on so many levels, starting with the improvement of the NHS and public health; and leading to a better economy, politics, ecology – and the overall prosperity of the country.”
